I thought your presentation was very well done. The theme of contrast that you showed throughout with the heaven and hell, and then of course with the black and white was very helpful in understanding your author's style. It was really helpful in following the presentation that you stuck with these main themes. As the first presentation, I also thought it was great that you were engaging with an activity. The devices you brought in were new to me at least and the activity made me think about them more and really see how they could be used effectively in writing.
It was great how you opened your presentation with a poem. It served as a very nice introduction to the rest of your presentation and made me already begin to think about some of the main points you would bring up later, specifically the idea of evil always overtaking good. Since that was such an important part of your author's writing thematically and was a point of emphasis during your presentation it was great that you introduced that to the audience first, and in a creative way that made us think of the implications of that theme, not just related to your author. In your analysis of the poem you talked about Sharkey's use of rhetorical questions, which is obviously a very important component of the poem, but I was wondering if Golding every used them in a similar way to spark thought in his audience. Overall, I think this poem was great in presenting your main points, while having very strong connections to them.
